Arezoo
Volunteer
Hi everyone! My name is Arezoo, but I’m also known as Arvin. I’m one of the friendly faces you’ll see helping the team at the Prince Edward Clinic. I’m originally from Iran, a country located in the Middle East with a rich cultural heritage, where I studied and earned my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Growing up in Iran, I developed a deep connection with animals, which inspired me to pursue this rewarding career.
I immigrated to Canada last year with my husband, Babak, and our daughter, Ronika, who is Canadian, as she was born here. They have been with me every step of the way on this exciting journey. Though the culture and language are different, my love for animals has only grown since moving here. I’ve joined the clinic as a volunteer to gain more experience and improve my English skills. I’m also actively studying to get my veterinary qualifications recognized here so I can continue my work with animals.
I really miss my mother in Iran, as if I left a piece of my heart there. I miss my family and my dog, Gunner, who is truly a part of my family. Leaving them behind in Iran has been one of the hardest parts of this journey. I feel their absence deeply every day. I look forward to the day when we’ll all be reunited.
When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places, and learning new things. I’m passionate about my work and excited to keep growing both professionally and personally!
